About the Internship:
The main purpose of the Lakota Journey Summer Internship is to provide an accessible next step for those who feel the tugging of the Holy Spirit to explore their relationship with God and the Rosebud Reservation further.
Throughout the 8 weeks of the internship, college-aged students live in Christ-centered community and volunteer with organizations on the reservation related to their post-secondary area of study. Through it all, they seek what God’s vision is for the Rosebud Reservation and what their personal relationship with it may be.

January 1, 2022:
2021 Lakota Journey Intern Application will be available online! Download the application and apply before April.

April 2022:
Application Deadline: Out of respect for our application process, we ask that you have your application and references in to us in a timely manner, but this date is flexible.
April - May 2022:
We will have phone interviews scheduled near the end of April. We’ll schedule a call with you once we’ve received your application. Interviews last about an hour and help us get to know you and your vision for the summer. Acceptance information will be out approximately two weeks after the interview, so that you can begin getting to know your fellow interns and preparing for your summer experience!
June 10- August 5, 2022:
This is the complete summer intern commitment!
June - August 2022:
Lakota Journey Mission Week: Typically interns assist in supporting our large group missions week. However, in 2022, we will not be holding our missions week as usual. Churches instead will be seeking how to engage in the communities they serve at a distance or in a smaller capacity. Interns may have a role during the summer months helping to support church groups in their ministry endeavors.
August 5, 2022:
Intern Debriefing: This is the day we wrap up the summer experience before interns are sent off to wherever the Spirit has led them next!
